From 23rd to 26th of November 2009 R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music was a host of master - classes by the assistant professor of Berklee College of Music Vadim Neselovskyi.
Lessons were open to attend, so it became possible for all interested to watch the rehearsals, to get acquainted with new methods of holding lessons.
Furthermore, there was a master - class in the JV "KOMORA" salon "Grand pianos and pianos" where at the grand pianos by Steinway & Sons, Boston, Essex students with Vadim Neselovskyi worked upon jazz standards, play in different styles, accompaniment, voice leading, substitutions.
We appreciate Vadim Neselovskyi's high skills and professionalism. Vadim is naturally a gifted pedagogue, who is able to spot the student's problem; he is very outgoing and friendly. Vadim has not only contributed new methods, but also held on to the traditions of R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music and highly estimated the work methods of the institute's pedagogues.
The master-classes ended in the concert where ensembles presented the results of lessons, unveiling themselves as fully as possible and showing in the performance the gained knowledge and pieces of advice. Besides, Vadim Neselovskyi played some compositions based on Ukrainian folklore with a pedagogue of R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music, jazz singer Yuliya Roma.
