Shio Okui, who is winner of the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz, will take part in the opening ceremony of the International Competition-Festival Sberbank Debut . The concert will be held on November 12 at 18.30 in the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian National Opera House in Kyiv.
Moreover, the artistic director of the competition and honorary chairman of the jury - Denis Matsuev, will perform in this evening.
The concert program includes:
J.Haydn . Concert for piano and orchestra in D Major
S.Rachmaninov . Concert #3 for piano and orchestra in D Minor , op. 30
The performances will be accompanied by Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and conducted by Mykola Dyadyura , People's Artist of Ukraine , winner of the Shevchenko National Prize.
