Young Pianist Talents

The IX International Horowitz piano contest is taking place this spring in Kyiv, featuring many young and talented piano performers from all over the world. 83 young musicians from 14 countries (Ukraine, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, China, France, Japan and others), all aged 14 and under, will show their mastery. The participants will be judged by a well-respected international board of jurors, aiming to bring to light the gift and the potential of the young pianists.


The contest is held in two categories - Horowitz-debut and Junior groups - and, while one of the competitors from China is only 6 years old, the rules and demands on the participants are far from childish.
