Academy? What is it?
About the Academy
Each summer Kyiv accepts all who wish to improve their professional skills, to enjoy communion with the Music, to present their art to the Kyiv citizens and guests.For 15 years, the oldest music educational establishment in Ukraine - R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music presents International Summer Music Academy.

Studies take place at the - R. Glier Kyiv Institute of Music
Those who wish can study at the Academy regardless of age, nationality or professional level.

Educational program:
1. Solo performance (piano, violin, cello)
     6 lessons, 45 minutes each
2. Play with the orchestra (piano, violin, cello)
   6 lessons, 45 minutes each, two rehearsals and a performance with the orchestra
3. Ensemble music-making
4. The history and cultural traditions of Kyiv (excursions)
5. Concert experience

Master classes are given by:

Lessons are given in Russian, French and English.

Lessons are given in Russian and English.

Maria Pukhlianko (Ukraine).
Lessons are given in Ukrainian, English and Russian.

ensemble music-making
The master class is free. It consists of 5 lessons.
The lessons of ensemble playing conducted by all teachers of the Academy.
The master class provides a play in instrumental ensembles of various compositions.
We are sure that this course will interest students of the Academy. It will have an invaluable opportunity to representatives of various national schools, professionals and amateurs, to communicate in the language of Music, it will decorate the concert programs of the Academy.

ATTENTION!
The program of the International Summer Music Academy provides a various concert practice on the International Festival Kyiv Summer Music Evenings.
Performances of students are held in the concert halls, creative institutions, students of the Academy can play as solo, and as part of the ensemble and orchestra.
In concerts of the Festival, along with young performers take part recognized professional musicians - teachers of the Academy and guests of the Festival.

The completed application form with a personal signature is the concent to the terms and conditions that are offered in this document.

Deadline for receipt applications forms - June 15, 2016.

Warning!
-  application forms received after June 15, 2016 will not be considered;
- in case of receipt large number of application forms, corresponding master class will be formed taking into account the term of acceptance of application forms;
- in case of receipt less than 5 application forms corresponding master class will not take place, which will be communicated to the applicants.

How to study in the Academy?

• Classes in the International Summer Music Academy will be held from 4 to 15 of July (inclusively) in the R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music.
Classes include active forms of learning and are open to the public.

• Students of the International Summer Music Academy are provided with:

- conditions (classes) for self-study solo program and ensemble music-making;

- сoncert halls for solo, ensemble performances and performances with the orchestra;

- professional orchestra for performances of soloists and orchestra;

- accompanists for studies in classes of violin and cello;

- during the work of the Academy, students can use the library of the R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music;

 - at will students can live in a hostel of the R.Glier Kyiv Institute of Music (22 Dashavska str., Kyiv, Ukraine);

Performances of students of the Academy with orchestra
at the International Festival Kyiv Summer Music Evenings:
9-10, 14 -15 of July, 2016.

• Master class "Solo performance" provides each student's performance in the concerts.
  Therefore, please prepare pieces for concert performances.
• Repertoire of the master class "Ensemble music-making" must be specified in the application form;
• After passing master classes, students receive a certificate of the International Summer Music Academy.
  Warning!
• Master classes are not provided with translators.
Attention!
Participants of the master class "Play with the orchestra" provide their own the orchestra scores and orchestral parts.
